Physician

Monroe Health Center is seeking an exceptional, passionate Physician for our Craig County Health Center in New Castle, VA.
Our Federally Qualified Health Center is a “family” atmosphere with a passionate team of employees who work hard to help the community. We provide a high level of care to our patients of all ages for their healthcare needs. Our exceptional staff members support one another, they care about what they are doing and who they work with. Currently, our team is in need of a dedicated Family Practice Physician, and to be successful we have identified the following traits that we feel will lead to a successful candidate.
A successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, professional communication and presentation skills, and excellent patient relationship skills. The successful candidate will work hand in hand with the other medical providers, medical support staff, and administrative support staff.
Qualifications
- Licensed to practice in the state of Virginia or ability to obtain license in Virginia
- Board Certified
- Current ACLS and BLS Certifications
- Good interpersonal skills and communication
- Computer skills with Electronic Medical Records
- Compassionate and caring of patients

Licensed Behavioral Health Counselor

Monroe Health Center is seeking a Licensed Behavioral Health Counselor. Two openings for our School Based Wellness Center – one in Union, WV and one in Lindside, WV. Must be a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker or Psychologist. This position would follow the Monroe County School Calendar beginning with the 2023/24 School Year. Position requires current state licensure and experience with elementary and middle school aged youth preferred. Pay is dependent upon licensure and experience. The candidate must have excellent Electronic Medical Records computer skills, good communication skills, ability to establish a good rapport with staff and patients of all ages. Experience with injections, lab draws, lab testing, immunizations, patient screening, assist Provider with procedures as necessary. Must be well organized and possess the ability to multi-task in a busy environment.

The candidate must have excellent Electronic Medical Records computer skills, good communication skills, and the ability to establish a good rapport with staff and patients of all ages including geriatric and pediatric. Experience with injections, childhood immunizations, and patient screening. Must assist providers with procedures as necessary. Must be well organized and can multi-task in a busy environment.
